 Are you overwhelmed by incessant bad news from our media houses, or scared to your bones by all the strange happenings in our world? Well, you are not alone, but I want to invite you to read with me the Book of Matthew 24:22. It reads: "If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened." (niv). We see that even the Bible foretold the events of our day, so that we wouldn't be caught by surprise when they begin to occur. However, the question I want to help you answer today is the question, 'how can I maneuver the evil days and strange times we live in?" While I wouldn't want to sound redundant, I would like you to know that the only answer to the posed question is: take your mind off the world and put your mind on the things above.  The one thing that outlasts the enemy is faith. That is the reason the Bible has it in: Hebrews 11:6  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (Kjv).  This implicitly shows that when we exercise faith we please God, & when He is pleased with us the main reason He formed us becomes accomplished. Remember He created all things for His pleasure (see Rev 4:11). So why not resolve in your mind to please God by exercising your faith, no matter how difficult things get, tell yourself "I am going to please God."
