Whenever a brother or sister in Christ compliments my Ministry, I am always quick to let them know that I am only a foolish vessel through which God displays His wisdom. I believe the only smart thing I have done in my life is realize that I have nothing to bring to the table. No wits, no crafts, no brains, no strength, no nothing.
My Master Jesus Christ said, "And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (John 8:32, NLT). The truth however can only be found in the word of God, and through my search for the truth I found where Christ said that we can do nothing without Him. This discovery became like serendipity for me because all along I have been looking for an excuse for my lack of wisdom. I discovered that I can really get away with being foolish. There is nothing wrong with being foolish after all, but one also needs to know that the only platform that offers such exemption is found in "Christ." Outside of Christ, foolishness is not something to be proud of. Anyway, I did not hesitate to tag my weakness, and my emptiness along with this new-found profile "I am only a foolish vessel through which God displays His wisdom." In fact, I now go by: "I am only a foolish, weak, and empty vessel through which God displays His wisdom, strength, and fullness." So if you have ever wondered if God can use you, just check your portfolio, and answer the following questions: [1] Are you stupidly foolish? [2] Are you helplessly weak? [3] Are you unequivocally empty? If you answered yes to these three questions, then you got hired. Congratulations, and welcome to the field of souls. I encourage you to get to work immediately because "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few." (Matthew 9:37, NIV).
