As a born again Christian and a disciple of Christ, I have come to understand and feel the ridicule that I used to pour out on believers prior to my transformation. I used to make fun of tongue-speaking, and Holy ghost filled born again Christians, seeking out any slightest chance to call them names like "Hypocrites", "dull", "archaic", etc. I expected every self acclaimed believer to be perfect in their deeds and actions. There was no room for excuses or mistakes. Now, I know better that you don't have to be perfect to love Jesus. In fact, the more imperfect you are, the more visible His perfection through you. Truth be told, I am not perfect as a believer, and if you are looking for the perfect one? I guess you have to look to Jesus as your role model. I am only loving my Jesus, and I am sensible enough to know that when you truly love someone, you don't intentionally do things to hurt them. As a former reject, and now a spirit-filled believer in Christ (that is my only identity), my heart pours out to our youths everywhere, and this is because the kingdom of darkness has diversified and modified its arsenal against this generation. In my upcoming book, I delved into more details on the spiritual warfare of this age. I am a firm believer in the fact that, the spiritual rules over the physical, I also believe that sometimes what you see on the outside does not always reflect what is on the inside. This is evident in most of our locked-up young people in jail houses, prisons, penitentiaries or (whatever name given to places where people that don't conform to the norms of our societies are put in). Most of these young people are the brightest and fairest among us that the devil sought after as early as when they were in cradles. DEAR LORD AND CREATOR OF ALL THINGS, I commit everyone that will come in contact with this devotional today into your hands of mercy. Protect them and guide them, and let your presence cover them just like the sun, because of your unconditional love. Your love that was portrayed at the cross while we were yet sinners You sent our LORD JESUS to die for us all excluding none. Therefore LORD, even though most of them do not know you yet, your mercy still covers them. And I ask for you unending mercy over each and everyone of them in JESUS NAME------- amen. The burden of life can be lighter if only we can all learn how to share kindness and compassion to one another. I get some thing new every time I read the Bible. Recently I got a new insight from the crucifixion story of Jesus Christ found in Mathew 27. In this story the character of Barabbas brought a whole new revelation on the real essence of Christ's purpose at the cross. If you read this chapter in the book of Mathew, you will notice how the people wanted Barabbas released instead of Jesus who absolutely did nothing wrong. Well, that is the entire exemplifying of what Christ did by taking our place. Instead of Barabbas getting what he deserved which was death, he got spared from death by Christ taking his place. This is exactly what Christ did for all of us: "Setting the captives free, Releasing those in bondage, and Taking our death as sinners and giving us His life". Yet some people are busy carrying the burden that Jesus has already bore for us.
